Donna is a journalist, an educator, a publisher, a communications specialist, a career counsellor, a writer, a facilitator and a mentor to thousands.

All over the Huronia Region, Donna continually runs into small business clients who have experienced self employment through the mentorship of the Self Employment Assistance Program. Between 1995 and 2003, 435 businesses started up under Donna's tutelage with an 83% success rate. Donna resigned from delivering the Self Employment program in May 2003. She is now involved in other projects, including Go Venture and private self-employment consultation.

Since 1973 Donna has been teaching visual, verbal and written communications classes for business, industry and education environments.

A writer, newspaper editor, magazine owner and publisher, founder of the Barrie branch of an adult training facility, Donna brings a background in entrepreneurism and positive attitude building.

As a regular panelist on CFRB's The Parent Report, a producer with Vision TV's international Turning Sixteen series, and an interviewer of literally hundreds of topics Donna has developed the ability to identify a need and develop resources to meet that need.

A founder of Barrie Business Women's Council and Information Barrie, Donna's community experience includes Gryphon Theatre (chair), Heart & Stroke (ward captain), Humane Society, Project 125, the Yes! Campaign (publicity chair), Save the Firehall, United Way, Barrie YMCA, Women's & Children's Crisis Centre, Victoria Village (RVH re-build).
